The Stobie poles are out in the environment for years and accumulate dirt, dust and all sorts of other stuff. We recommend that you put on your PPE (mask, gloves and eye protection, and give the stobie pole a good clean with a wire brush in a battery powered drill or with an angle grinder. Please be cautious about the weather - this job cannot be done in high temperatures or fire danger days.
The concrete and the metal of the Stobie pole needs to be cleaned before the mosaic on the Therma sheet can be adhered to the pole:
You need: PPE – Eye protection, mask, gloves and a yellow vest – possibly a cone or two, depending on the position of the Stobie pole.
Tools etc:
· Battery driven drill and
· wire brush attachment,
· 1 Bucket with clean water to clean the brush.
· Brush and
· Eco Prim Grip (MAPEI).
· Possibly a small step (ladder)
1. Measure the area where the panels will be going.
2. Take a battery driven drill and attach a wire brush. Use PPE (glasses or googles and a mask, wear gloves) - wire brush the area and remove all dirt and loose bits.
3. Stir the Eco Prim Grip very well so that all the sand is well suspended and
