The Stobie poles are out in the environment for years and accumulate dirt, dust and all sorts of other stuff. We recommend that you put on your PPE (mask, gloves and eye protection), and give the stobie pole a good clean with a wire brush in a battery powered drill or with an angle grinder. Please be cautious about the weather - this job cannot be done in high temperatures or fire danger days.
The concrete and the metal of the Stobie pole needs to be cleaned before the mosaic on the Therma sheet can be adhered to the pole:
You need: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Eye protection, mask, and gloves. A hi-vis vest and a traffic cone or two, need to be considered depending on the position of the Stobie pole.
