The Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery started with a relatively small idea – to beautify some of our Town Stobie Poles. From there it grew into quite a project with a large number of mosaic, painted and even some fretwork examples created and mounted. Many of the poles carry a message about the area, the animals, residents’ names, small towns, historic buildings and sites that make up our area along with flora and fauna.
Our school (Eudunda Area School) has done 3 mixed media poles outside their premises; the majority are down the main street and a few others at relevant points to their story. There are also additional mosaics and paintings around the town, specially in our Centenary Gardens.
For those looking to learn, the Eudunda Community Hub and Shed have an active group of Mosaic Artists who are happy to share their knowledge and learnings.
