Gawler Stobie Pole Mosaics is transforming local streets into vibrant public art spaces. Based at Gawler Community House, volunteers have created mosaic artworks using ceramic tiles, enhancing 12 Stobie poles to date across the area.
Recent works feature native birds found in Dead Man's Pass, inspired by photographer Gunther Frensch’s upcoming book. With financial support from the Town of Gawler and Villawood, the project aims to beautify public spaces and raise awareness of local wildlife.
Founded in 2024 by local artists Deb Anderson, Maggi Gregory and Sandra Sullivan, Gawler Stobie Pole Mosaics continues to grow, welcoming new participants and fostering creative skills through free community workshops where participants learn mosaic techniques and contribute to artwork for Stobie poles near the Community House.
